COMPLEXIDADE NA DISTRIBUIÇÃO DE DONATIVOS NA LOGÍSTICA HUMANITÁRIA. O CASO DE MARIANA

Abstract

The region of Minas Gerais is known for its abundance of mining, because of this wealth, the Mineradora Samarco founded its branches in the city of Mariana, municipality of Minas Gerais. On November 5, 2015, after the collapse of one of the dans,named Fundão, the city was devastated and that was when the humanitarian logistics was applied to the case. Worst environmental disaster in Brazil This article, developed from an interview with the creator of the Centro Logístico Humanitario Nacional, is about the high complexity in the distribution and collection of donations in humanitarian logistics. It explains what difficulties were faced, such as decision making in the Mariana tragedy and how the work was done in order to help the victims. The survey applied was the bibliographic as a way to illustrate the theoretical core addressing conventional logistics and a comparison with the humanitarian logistics.

It discusses succinctly some characteristics of environmental disaster.

The interview conducted with with the National Humanitarian Logistic Center elucidates the difficulties faced by humanitarian logistics. The observed results point to a process of high complexity and variability, requiring a high level of partnership with various public agencies and participation of society as a whole.
