The present study aims to conduct an analysis of the procurement process in a company within the agronomic sector, investigating its practices, challenges, and impacts on organizational management. To achieve this objective, an extensive literature review was conducted, addressing the main methods and strategies adopted in the procurement field to identify the best practices suggested by academic literature and apply them to the specific context of the studied organization. After the theoretical research, in-depth interviews were conducted with those responsible for the company's procurement department to understand how processes are structured, implemented, and the challenges faced in daily procurement management. Based on the collected data, a detailed analysis was carried out, considering both the perspectives of the interviewees and the concepts extracted from specialized literature. The results allowed a comparison between organizational practices and academic theories and methodologies, highlighting that the implementation of well-structured systems and processes in the procurement sector has a significant impact on the company's operational efficiency. The findings indicated that optimizing procurement processes is directly related to improving organizational performance and customer satisfaction. Furthermore, it was concluded that an effective procurement process must integrate innovation, ethics, and transparency—essential factors for ensuring the company's success and strengthening trust-based relationships with suppliers and other stakeholders.
