A RELAÇÃO ENTRE AS HISTÓRIAS DE MAFALDA E OS DIAS ATUAIS

Abstract

The present work makes use of the textual genre comic, understood as mass literature in function of reaching readers of diverse social classes and destined to the entertainment of this public, to analyze two strips of the character Mafalda that deal with social themes from the context of their creation, but which still make sense in 21st century society. The subjects chosen to be treated were social inequality and the role of women in society. We sought to reflect on these themes based on the concerns and concerns of the character, which continue to be very relevant in the current context and remain unsolved. Although the character's author ceased production a few years ago, Mafalda still remains a comic book classic for presenting a critical and ironic language about social problems. The reflections of the little girl in the comic strips still roam the world, now having their reception exponenciada by social networks, demonstrating not only the taste for the character, but the social concerns that today remain problems without apparent solution.
