Abstract

The goal of this research is to present a bibliometry to check scientific production on cooling methods in turning. Due to increasingly restrictive legislation, the metal mechanical industry is seeking to produce sustainably, reducing the use of cutting fluids, replacing them by less aggressive methods for the environment and the health of employees. In this context, some options become attractive, between them the minimum amount of lubricating fluid, MQL and cooled compressed air jet refrigeration. Among the advanced methods are options that offer low cost and may be used in companies with a small size of the mechanical metal branch. With the proposal to create a hybrid system that mix the two methods, it is necessary to understand the processes involved through an analysis of scientific publications. For the bibliometry of this article different search strings were determined to achieve the greatest number of results. The chosen platform was Google Scholar, in the english language, in the period from 2005 to 2020. The results obtained were filtered, for duplicity, availability, titles, and keywords. Resulting in 148 articles that after reading abstracts were selected as to adherence to the theme, resulting in 27 articles used as the basis for qualitative and quantitative analysis.
