GESTÃO DE STAKEHOLDERS (GS) NO GERENCIAMENTO DE PROJETOS (GP): CASOS MÚLTIPLOS SOB A LUZ DO PMBOK

Abstract

In the year 2013, the Project Management Institute (PMI) promoted the inclusion of a new knowledge area for stakeholder or stakeholder management in the PMBOK. This raises questions about the importance of this topic and whether there is a need to work with stakeholders to make the project effective and effective. The objective of this research was to analyze the importance of stakeholder management in project management. Tried to relate the management of the stakeholders with the main flaws existing during the project management, trying to find out if an inadequate management of the parties could contribute to their incidence. The field data collection used to obtain the answers consisted of the application of an electronic questionnaire with open questions, elaborated from a bibliographic review of the topic. Seven experienced project managers responded to the questionnaire and, after analyzing the data, was identified that if stakeholder management is done correctly it can minimize problems mainly related to the definition of scope and consequently in other areas such as term and cost. Concluded that the creation of this new area of ​​knowledge by the PMI go been agreed and that project managers can invest considerable resources in the management of the stakeholders so that the product and project scope are well defined, and that it is possible to achieve compliance within the established budget.
