USO DA SIMULAÇÃO COMO APOIO À DECISÃO NO SETOR DE CHEK-IN NO AEROPORTO DE GUARULHOS

Abstract

The proposal of this research is to provide an analysis passenger service  at check-in of  Passengers Air Transport Company . For this, a field survey was conducted, which the mainsubject were: quantitative and qualitative aspects to care. Data refer to the rows formed by passengers, the facilities, equipment installed and the number of attendants, at the passenger 's boarding area at Governador André Franco Montoro Airport,  known as Guarulhos  International Airport.

 It was collected all information in order to present the main features of the system. also to  provide adequate understanding of the complexity of the processes involved.

There was. applied techncques identification of system  to present a real model of the system.

For the analysis was applied a Discrete Event Simulation and used a tool called Arena® software.

The result showed a bottleneck on  system, and after an analysis of the  scenario,it was proposed a change to improve the performance at passenger service's boarding sector. Changing the proposed system that was simulated,  we could prove  the change caused a decrease of waiting time of check-in queue which was expected above considered acceptable by the company.
