OS IMPACTOS NA IMPLEMENTAÇÃO DA MORATÓRIA DA SOJA NO BRASIL E OS ÍNDICES DE CONSUMO INTERNACIONAL

Abstract

Brazil in recent years has presented records in the production, export and marketing of food worldwide, becoming a global reference in the sector. Thus, it is important to analyze ways to preserve this characteristic without further degradation of the environment, because currently, it is notorious the growth of monocultures and the search for new agricultural areas by producers to achieve the high market demand. Currently, Brazil has an agreement between the producing companies, called the Soy Moratorium, which aims at the use of existing planted areas and the non-negotiation of grains from deforested areas in the Amazon Biome – thus reducing deforestation and the search for territorial expansion. The aim of this article is to analyze the indicators in which they refer to consumption, soybean production for the international market, to verify the functioning and application of the Soy Moratorium by producers today and the resulting economic and social impacts. This work used the systematized model of bibliographic review proposed by Marcelo Lamy (2018). It was possible to observe that Brazil has great competitive potential in the agricultural sector, once the prospects for the coming years tend to be positive due to the continuity of the Soy Moratorium agreement, applied by the main producers and collaborators involved in the agro-industrial chain.
