There is a need to change the behavioral patterns, the ethics of our citizens andorganizations that must reformulate their models of production, management andconsumption adopted by the human being. For this, new methods of organizationsuch as airport sustainability are absolutely necessary. The research question isrelated to the opportunities that can be generated in a complex system such asairports and highlight existing sustainability initiatives that can be extrapolated toother airport sites.
The airport system is one of the ones that most demands resources and proposesinnovations and challenges for its components regarding the need to reconcileeconomic, environmental and social management in its business.
This article aims to show that sustainability in the airport system generatesopportunity for new business. In its methodology, it is a research of descriptivenature, whose instrument of data collection was based on a bibliographical survey ofsites, journals, national scientific articles and reflections administered byteachers.
