The digital age has catalyzed processes and protocols aimed at reducing operational and logistical costs by enabling real-time control of machines and vehicles. In this sense, the maintenance of industrial vehicles such as forklifts, seeks to extract the maximum useful life by increasing the time between failures. In this sense, the objective of this work is to publicize the use of terotechnology in real-time monitoring of the operational conditions and useful life of industrial vehicles, the forklifts. Therotechnology has its premises in predictive and preventive maintenance, removing the idea of rush and interruptions during operations, minimizing the use of unscheduled corrective maintenance. The methodology adopted relies on a bibliographic research in the Scopus database and a report on the application of terotechnology using a Fluke thermographic camera that is capable of demonstrating a color distribution map, selecting different color scales and correlating them with working temperature. The result was a reduction in the time for checking the forklift and determining a working temperature standard, i.e. 80 to 90 °C, after four hours of uninterrupted operation, the probability between high, low, unexpected and scheduled corrective maintenance occurrences. . It is concluded that it is possible to schedule maintenance interventions and reduce the risks of non-programmed corrective maintenance, which is extremely harmful to the entire production system and meeting customer deadlines.
